This composition was created a week after the Yankees retained the baseball World Series and New York went wild! Not bad timing, though being at the games would have been special!

Yankee Stadium is a world famous venue steeped in Baseball history. As a structure though it has seen better days. Past its best, the stadium is distinctly outdated when compared to the new generation of baseball stadia springing up all over America. So much so that there are rumours of the Yankees moving away from not only this stadium but out of the borough of Bronx altogether!

The huge demand and spiralling costs of baseball may conspire to bring the Yankees to Manhatten where predominently 'white collar' high earning fans may be given the opportunity to gentrify what is undoubtably a 'blue collar' sport, Sound familiar? There are those in England who worship football who may think so...
