EURO2000
Spain v Norway

Suprisingly selected ahead of the more obvious choice of the Amsterdam ArenA to host the Final of EURO2000, Stadion Feyenoord - otherwise known as De Kuip (The Tub) - is a fine stadium reborn from its 1930's heritage. The original two tiered structure - a creation based on Arsenals 1930's West Stand but carried through in a continuous bowl - has been refurbished and modernised, most visibly in the creation of an elegant, wrap around roof.

The stadium retains its external 'industrial' looking fascia, betraying its age, and this feel is evident within the ground too. Though not as plush and fan friendly as modern stadia - food and toilet facilities are lacking - De Kuip makes up for its shortfalls by generating a fantastic atmosphere, with fans close to the pitch.
