New Yorks' finest actually play in Meadowlands, New Jersey. Giants Stadium is one of Americas most famous sporting venues, playing host to two Gridiron teams and MLS team New York New Jersey Metrostars. In the 1970's it was home to the famous New York Cosmos. In 1994 the stadium hosted FIFA World Cup matches (most notably the shock Republic of Ireland 1-0 victory against Italy) and just last year the opening game of the 1999 FIFA Womens World Cup (with a then largest-ever attendance of 78,000 for a womens sporting event).

Typical of America, the stadium has no roof, thus allowing for a massive all seater capacity. The three viewing levels are reached through a combination of escelators and spiral ramps.
