The English have football, cricket and rugby. The Americans their Gridiron and baseball. For the Spanish the passion of bull fighting is their own. And home to this sport are the magnificant bullrings. Now before anyone codemns bull fighting or questions it merits as a 'sport', let's remember that Stadia.org.uk is first and foremost focused on the magnificant constructions that are home to all our sporting passions, whether we like a particular event or not, so with this in mind let's appreciate the granduer and beauty of Spain's magnificent bull fighting homes. Plaza de Toros is a common name for many bullrings in Spain - I did ask for something more unique but this is it! Plaza de Toras, Valencia, is the first bullring i've visited, but it certainly won't be the last. In this case I was fortunate to find an unlocked gate which gave me access to the ornate interior. |
